Mrs J Balagopal has taught middle-school geography at the well-known St John’s High School, Bengaluru, for several years.  Prompted by the lack of comprehensive concept-based text books on geography for middle-school ICSE students, she authored the Discover Geography series of books, on which the Inspired Geography series is based. She is now retired, but drawn by her love for the subject and for teaching, continues to work on revisions of the books to ensure that they are child-friendly, accurate and updated.
