Syed Najmul Raza Rizvi earned his Master's degree in History from Gorakhpur University and a D. Phil from Allahabad University. A retired professor and former Head of the Department of History at Deendayal Upadhyaya University, Gorakhpur, he has also been actively involved with the U.P. History Congress for several decades, holding various positions such as Secretary and President (2005), and serving as a member of its executive committee. His edited works include Studies in Indian History, The Great Uprising of 1857, and Proceedings of UP History Congress. Additionally, his published titles include Atharahvin Sadi ke Zamindar, People’s Publishing House, New Delhi; Nepal ka Itihas; Zamindaars and Revenue Farmers of Eastern Uttar Pradesh, and numerous other published works.
